Submission of Exams

After your exam, please drop off your exams at the Science Help Desk in WSC 140 during regular business hours.  When you arrive, you will be asked to open a ticket at our kiosk PC, providing information about your exam.  Alternatively, you may opt to do this before coming.

When dropping off exams, we ask that you please ensure that

  • all exams are boxed, preferably with a lid
  • the box is free of any reference pages (e.g., tables, figures, sample code).  These pages should be detached from your exam booklets, if applicable, and not brought in for scanning
  • the box is free of any envelopes, scrap paper, nominal role sheets, pencil boxes, and other items not being scanned

STS currently has staffing for scanning primarily during regular business hours.  As we are currently in beta, evening and weekend scanning is available, but coverage is minimal.  We will revisit this as we ramp up.

Evening/weekend drop-off is not offered at this time.  Those with exams on a Friday evening or weekend will need to drop off the exams on the following Monday.  Exam submissions are processed in first-come, first-served order.

Return of Exams

Your exams will be processed in first-come, first-served order.  Once your exams have been scanned and processed, you will receive an email advising you that your PDF(s) are available in the OWL Drop Box.  You can then download your PDFs and upload them to Gradescope.

Your physical exams will be available for pickup at the Science Help Desk in WSC 140 during regular business hours.  We ask that you please pick up your exams in a timely manner as we are not equipped to serve as an exam storage facility. 

Note that we will only release your physical exams to individuals authorized on the ticket you opened when you dropped off your exams.  Please have your WesternONE card with you when picking up exams.
